Identity Check…Satan

This one right chea is bout the enemy ya’ll. The best way to fight and defeat an enemy is to know them REALLY well. In our case the enemy has already been defeated but still its beneficial to know what you are dealing with. These are some of the characteristics of the devil that I wanted to point out as a reminder for us all.

Persistent: Now I consider myself to be a rather persistent person and I really go after what I want (and no that don’t make me the devil or nothing like him lol) but the devil? Now that’s a whole nother level or persistence! he’s defeated and STILL tries to win. Like really think about it! The devil would be that guy still trying take game winning shots after his team has lost and everybody has left the gym! What a dummy! This relates to us in that we are redeemed, the devil has no hold on us anymore, yet he will continue to try to convince us otherwise or just bother us in general. Think of the stuff you have been delivered from, KNOW you been SHO NUFF delivered from…but still try to whisper in your ear every now and then. The devil understands seed time and harvest time too, he was in heaven at the beginning ya know. he just wants to plant a SEED of doubt, a small thought of sin that will beginning to grown in your heart, or your mind that will then blossom into actions or hesitation towards the things of God. Just to make sure I’m bible notice how many times he temped Jesus after the fast in Matt 4.

Subtle: A KEY aspect to be understood about the devil is that he is subtle!!! Never will he come up to you like “hey man I need you to feel like you’re too distracted to read your bible today so you won’t mind getting drunk with your friends tonight, then feeling too tired/dirty to go to church Sunday, which cuts off your connection through praise and worship while preventing your tithe so your finances begin to dry up. Plus you’ll be a little weaker the next time I come to you with some sin that will have big, DEEP affects on your life and ultimately embarrass you as a Christian in front of a lot of people, but really all this is to make God look bad.” he’s a spirit so he’s always a couple steps down the road with his plans, and he is TRULY a master of disguise so usually by the time you realize what’s going on it’s too late. Notice how subtly he tricked adam and eve in the garden leading to ALL the sin that is in the world today. Gen ch.3

AGAINST God: The devil is COMPLETELY against God!! You may know some people that really don’t like or believe in God but the devil is like exponentially worst!! he will do anything to provide opposition to The Father’s plans. he will use anything and anyone to distract you since you have chosen to associate yourself with God. Now by NO MEANS should you go around thinking everything that goes wrong or anyone that does not like you is the devil (cuz there is enough Christian people doing that as it is! Lol) but moreso don assume that the devil has ANY respect for the things of God. he will send temptation to your mind IN church service, he will try to corrupt your blessings, he’ll distract you while you are praying…truly whatever, whenever and by ANY means necessary. Which his why there is no room for being luke warm. He that is not for us is against us! “No man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and love the other…” Matt 6:24. Be all in or all out!

Liar/accuser: It’s a common phrase but OH SO true. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!! John 8:44 says “Ye are of your father the devil the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar AND THE FATHER OF IT” The devil is literally the father of all lies. Think about some of the folk you know that be lying on a pretty regular basis, think of how annoying, pointless, or destructive that is, the devil is way worst than this person! There was NO LYING until the devil start lies. Revelation 12:10 asserts that satan is “the accuser of our brethren…which accused them (us) before our God day and night” it is satan’s job to point out all your shortcomings to you. He wants to condemn you into thinking that you are too dirty for the Lord and you can’t do any better. That’s why its important to educate people on their sin and provide a way of escape instead of just accusing..no need to do the devil’s job for him.

ALL that being said the devil is defeated!! he is not to be feared! The same way if you saw someone beat up the toughest bully around and then wrote a book about it that you read you wouldn’t be scared of that bully anymore is the same way our Christian life is to be lived out. Yes satan is real and yes he’s after you, but Jesus is before you and whenever you are struggling just look to your Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (bible if you aint catch it) lol Go forth in peace folk!
