What Chu Talmbout?!

It seems odd to start such holy devotionals with such improper language and lines from secular rap songs…but ya’ll just keep praying hehehe. This jawn is about the power of our speech. I’ve tried to write this plenty of times but always got distracted and one time my laptop cut off but the devil is a liar so clearly I really need to get this out to ya’ll.

Seems like this principle is often looked over or down played but we have power in our words! We are made in God’s image. He runs things with His word, spoken or written. Scriptural backing: Gen. 1:3. Notice that when God began setting things upon the face of the earth He did think let there be light, He didn’t figure there would be light nor hope real hard for it. He SAID it and it was established. This same principle is GIVEN to you when you accept Jesus sacrifice as payment for your sins. You were already made in God’s image, but once you are wiped clean in Jesus blood you are an Heir with Christ (Romans 8:17) the things Christ gets..you JOINTLY get. Now clearly you operate on a smaller scale but the words that you say are powerful! The Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you and He is able to make the things that you say become reality.

More scriptures: Prov 18.21 “death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” The words that you speak kill and create things! And if you like what you are saying you will enjoy the consequences of it. Good or bad. Often we speak bad things about ourselves or others and seem surprised when they happen. You speak that you are wont do well in something and actually believe that, then how can you be surprised when that’s what really happens. You put it in motion.

Matt. 11:23 “For verily I say unto, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt it his heart but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he said.” WHAT A PROMISE!! It’s so clear and so easy! But I really want to point out that you have to SAY this stuff, not think it, not hope it, but actually say it! Then you have to believe that which you have said. Similar to God we can speak things into existence! We can speak to the atmosphere and it will obey! We can both bring life to things that we want but also speak death to the things that are trying to harm us. I had plenty of other examples when I originally wrote this mug but Idr’em…shoulda wrote it down.

Its IMPORTANT to point out that this is an easily corruptible gift from the Lord. Matt. 12:36-37 “But I (Jesus) say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement. For by they words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Another clear promise; God shole aint bout no confusion lol. They things that speak will not only need to be explained on the day of judgment but furthermore will work to justify or condemn you. If I claim Jesus but I’m cursing and my conversation just generally does not exemplify or support His teachings I have condemned myself with my speech.

Now that the “bad news” is out let’s wrap’em up! The things you say create or destroy. The same way if God had never said anything about the creation of all the things of earth, if you don’t say stuff it wont happen. Just take a min to think about all the stuff in your life that hasn’t change because you haven’t spoken to it. Yes you’ve prayed, yes you have the faith that God will come through, but have you spoken it into existence?! Speaking things also bring you to a new level of accountability, you feel the need to line up with that, that you have spoken. Nobody wanna just talk about it but not be about it.
